Welcome aboard! I'm Berkant, and if you're looking for someone who prefers configuring a Cisco router over scrolling through social media, you're in the right place.

Officially, I’m an incoming third-year student in a Bachelor of Technology (B.U.T.) in Networks & Telecommunications (Cybersecurity track) at Luminy, Marseille. Unofficially, I'm the kind of tech enthusiast who’s been coding in Python since age 15, navigating GNU/Linux terminals with Bash scripts, and tearing down hardware just to see how it ticks.

I’ve also earned my CCNA 1, CCNA 2, and CSNA certifications to prove I don't just tinker in the dark, but actually master TCP/IP protocols and rock-solid infrastructures. My passion lies as much in auditing systems (for a good cause, I promise!) as in deploying sovereign, self-hosted services to regain control over our data.

Full Web Project with Flask and AI Local Llama 3.1

osiris.center is the core of my personal digital ecosystem. The goal was to design a complete, secure, and scalable web platform capable of hosting an intelligent conversational assistant while also serving as a showcase of my technical skills. This project is not a simple demo: it is a fully functional website, actively used and continuously improved.

Design & Planning

From the beginning, I deliberately avoided turnkey solutions. Flask was chosen for its lightweight nature and the level of control it offers over the application architecture. The project was designed with a clear separation between routes, business logic, templates, and session management. The site needed to be multilingual, secure, and modular enough to support future features without requiring a complete redesign.

Smart Surveillance System

This project focuses on building an intelligent surveillance system based on computer vision. It combines motion detection with badge recognition to distinguish legitimate presence from irrelevant movement. The main challenge was reliability and the reduction of false positives.

Technical Implementation

Badge recognition is based on ORB for keypoint extraction, FLANN for feature matching, and Lowe’s ratio test to remove weak matches. Geometric consistency validation ensures that detected badges correspond to realistic spatial transformations within the image.

Advanced Discord Bot

This Discord bot was designed to automate server management while adding an interactive AI-driven dimension. It goes beyond simple commands and acts as a true digital assistant.

Key Features

The bot handles automated moderation, role management, welcome messages, synchronized slash commands, and AI-powered responses via the Llama 3.1 API. Its asynchronous architecture allows it to manage multiple events concurrently.

Self-hosted Nextcloud Server

This project addresses a concrete need: regaining full control over my personal data. I deployed a secure, self-hosted Nextcloud server accessible from my personal devices.

Technical Implementation

Deployment was handled using Docker and Docker Compose to ensure reproducibility and maintainability. Persistent volumes preserve data, and access is restricted to specific users and directories.

Deployment of Sovereign Infrastructures

Internship at AMU (Marseille) focused on European digital sovereignty and independence. The goal was to research sovereign technologies and set up a resilient infrastructure.

Implemented various decentralized services such as PeerTube (Framasoft), Mastodon, and CHATONS applications. Designed an architecture capable of serving technological sovereignty and independence with zero downtime.

Pentesting & Security Project

Academic project at Luminy involving the design of a complete enterprise architecture, followed by a security audit and active vulnerability exploitation.

Technical Implementation

Created websites and secured the deployed services. Developed custom tools in Python and Bash for offensive exploitation (Red Team) and patching discovered vulnerabilities (Blue Team).

Academic project focused on designing a centralized administration architecture for a comprehensive network infrastructure.

Technical Implementation

Deployed a centralized server to monitor and manage network equipment. Developed Python scripts for service automation (e.g., DHCP configuration) and created Bash scripts for remote management, supervision, and service control.
